Hello! I joined postcrossing to feel the human connection, and find that it fulfills several of my interests: traveling, stationery, and philately (the study of stamps).One of the things I love to do when traveling is send myself a postcard with a recounting of my activities. That way, when I come home, I have a lovely reminder of the trip. Often, it involves research on where the post offices are, prices to send a card, and where to buy stamps with the most variety. I love to seek out different postmarks when the country has these as well. My family and friends jokingly started to call me "postmaster orihalcon" due to these activities. One of them suggested postcrossing to me, so here I am. 😀
There is a lot that can be learned about the journey of a postcard via its postal markings. Since I enjoy this story, I collect postcards with stamps together as one whole, along with your written message. Therefore, I prefer if you send the postcard without any envelope.
