Hey, my name is Vera and I live in Germany on the East Frisian island of Langeoog. I love postcards from all over the world.My hobbies are writing, my dog Feivel, and going outside to the sea. I live on an island in the North Sea. It's a cool life, far away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Let me tell you something about Langeoog. Langeoog is a car-free island, except for fire trucks and ambulances; everything else is done by bicycle. Goods, mail, and building materials are transported by so-called e-carts, which look quite funny. Langeoog's landmark is the water tower, which you can easily see from afar. It stands slightly elevated on a dune, and you can climb to the top for a great view of the entire island. Langeoog is also known for its long sandy beach. And it's a fantastic place for cycling, from west to east; you always see something new. I'm glad I have an e-bike now; it makes things faster 😊 During the holidays, especially in summer, there are always lots of guests, so it gets quite busy here. Langeoog is very family-friendly. If you need to get to the hospital on the mainland quickly, the helicopter comes. I live near the airfield, and when it comes, the walls sometimes shake quite a bit. But we're glad we can rely on it so much. I really enjoy living on the island.
