Hello everyone!
My name is Claire. I am 25 years old and a recent university graduate from a small town in central Illinois, USA. I majored in Global Studies at the University of Illinois. My goal after graduation is to teach English as a foreign language. I am also very interested in minority languages and language revitalization.
I enjoy country life, caring for animals and children, writing letters and postcards, learning about and speaking various languages, attending cultural events, and taking walks outside. Recently, I have taken up fly fishing and have enjoyed learning the basics with new friends!
I have been to about 20 US states and 5 countries- the US (home), Canada 3x, Japan 4x, Norway, and Mexico. Some of my dream experiences would be a train trip around Finland, a bed and breakfast stay in the English countryside, watching a Māori haka in person, attending Latviešu dziesmu un deju svētki in Latvia, visiting the different republics of Russia, and more :)
