Hello there! I’m Noora, currently doing a PhD in Computer Science in Dublin, Ireland. I was born and raised in China and have lived in several places since, always curious about how people live, think, and feel around the world.

My research focuses on fairness in machine learning, which—like life itself—is about balance, uncertainty, and sometimes struggle. I’m going into the final year of my PhD, and honestly, it hasn't been easy. There were moments I felt lost, burned out, and unsure of what I was doing. But I've also had moments of healing—through cooking, long walks by the sea, quiet therapy sessions, and handwritten letters like this.

I love blues music (especially the kind that aches a little), indie films, handwritten journals, and the smell of coffee early in the morning. I believe that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful, and sometimes a small sentence from a stranger can unexpectedly light up the day.
