THANKS in advance to Chinese users who write their address in Chinese characters in their profile. My post office does not take domestic mail with the address written in "English" or pinyin only, and I surely can understand them. Imagine a person sending a letter from Munich to Berlin in Germany with only an address in Chinese characters.....!I have drawn two such addresses and cannot send the card, please add the address in Chinese characters in your profile!!!!

PLEASE NOTE: I collect ONLY postcards and nothing else, kindly refrain from adding various pieces of "paper" or tea bags or whatever else. And kindly avoid stickers, washi tape and so on, a nice few lines of text, big stamps and a card chosen according to my preferences will suffice to make me happy! Thanks for understanding! And do not forget to write the ID code.....

Remember that it is possible to ask for a different receiver if you have no suitable card for the person you drew the address of.....

My name is Françoise, I am a former history and geography teacher, now retired as I am 79 years old. I have lived in China since 1978...
I am interested in many things especially history, reading all kinds of books, cooking and baking, correspondence, postcards, nature, animals.
I follow the international news with great interest but do not think a postcard site should be an arena for expressing one's beliefs in that field....

I already have a huge postcard collection, so please rather send cards of less well-known places, like your hometown not the capital of your country......
I try my best to send cards that belong to the themes and categories you specify in your profile. Please try to do the same. I know it is not always easy, but I receive too many cards that do not fit in my collection.......

Postcard desires:

I mostly love to receive single-view tourist cards ( real photos, not paintings) showing architecture, religious buildings, public buildings, railway stations, town halls, castles, whatever landmark there is where you live), so as to know places that I will very likely not have a chance to visit in this life-time.

I also love modern map-cards (including MOTW), animal illustrations (mostly cats, hedgehogs, owls, camels, elephants... but I am open-minded about other animals). I also like cards of vintage food advertisements, political cartoons of older times, statues of famous (even only locally) persons or animals. sculptures in the public space, illustrated tourist/travel posters (not illustrated postcards!!POSTERS), zoo postcards, Chinese or Japanese traditional paintings...

What I am NOT keen on receiving: greeting cards whatever the occasion, "cute" babies or white kittens, flowers in a vase or bunch, painting reproductions, pin-ups, nude, cooking recipes, religious or political propaganda in the message written on the card,anime, movie stars or singers, sport people and sport in general except stadiums or other sport facilities..
And please if you send a card showing a place, I need to know what this place is, where it is, so try not to hide the legend or send cards without a legend.....I have no place in my collection for cards which are "nowhere", however lovely they are...Sorry!
