What is shared about oneself:

I live in Germany, Baden-Württemberg in a little town near Stuttgart called Großbettlingen. My husband and me live in a semi-detached house with garden and 2 cute cats called Gina and Balu (both 6 years old/brother and sister).

Gardening is a good possibility for me to relax and get a clear mind. I'm interested in plants (I love sunflowers) and all animals which come to our garden. At the moment many birds use our bird box with pieces of oats, raisins and sunflower seeds, the favorit current bird-food are peanuts. I really like to be outside, for example hiking, go for a stroll/walking or just sitting in our garden and watch all the things that happen there. Most of the time with a good book and of course at the appropriate season.

I love to read books: thrillers, fantasy and crime-novels I like most. I like medical literature and books/magazines with physical and psychological issues aswell.

Cooking, baking and making jam are my favorit hobbies, I like sewing, drawing and painting pictures. Everything what is creativ. Long Before I became a teacher I studied arts and (landscape)architecture, so I'm very much interested in buildings and architectual styles/history.

I work as a teacher in a so called Realschule, the pupils are between 11 and about 16 years old. My subjects are arts (favorit artists: Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, James Rizzi, Marc Chagall, Claude Monet and Friedensreich Hundertwasser) and home economics. I love all the pupils, the are great.

A few days ago my husband and me went to a exhibition of Frida Kahlo in Stuttgart, simply wunderful...What a women she had been !!! WOW !!! And now I decided to go to the exhibition again with my pupils in March 2026. I can't wait to visit this immersive exhibition the second time!

When I was young(er) I loved to write letters all over the world, so I hope to be able to activate this "old" hobby again by joining postcrossing. I'm looking forward to mail from varied countries/cultures.

I treasure all my received postcards, from the beginning of being part of POSTCROSSING. I collect everthing sended in my special album. Most of the time I also write little notes/memos on side in the album.
