Hi,

my name is Aileen, I am 53 and I live with my family in a tiny village in the north of Germany. We would like to travel much more to meet more people and to widen our son‘s horizon but due to cancer and CFS/ME it is not that easy. Although we did it and have now, April 2025, just returned from Ireland, a country that won our heart or more precisely its people were the ones to win our hearts. 🫶🏽

A nice Dutch chap from postcrossing told me about this site and here I am. Thank you, Marcel 😊.

I enjoy very much getting the same addresses more than once, I have to admit. 😊 Some do already feel a bit like family 🤭.

I know that the people are not their government, that includes all the people in autocratic states. I mean, I am from Germany, with our past, who am I to throw the first stone?

I am against all forms of racism and antisemitism, I stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦, I am LGBTQ friendly.
