Hi, I'm Hélène, and I live in a small town near Amsterdam.

Years ago, I worked in a bookshop. What I loved most about it (besides the books that is 😊), were the moments of connection with random customers. Sometimes because of a shared love for a book, an author, a genre. But I believe in essence it was something else: the effort both sides put into really listening to the other.

And exactly that is what I like most about exchanging postcards with random people around the globe: the gift of sincere attention.
