Hello! My name is Carol, and I live with my husband and our many cats in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. It is located along the Mississippi River and on Route 66. Our city is known for the Gateway Arch and as being the "Gateway to the West". It was the starting point for the westward movement of settlers during the 1800'S. The explorers Lewis and Clark started here.

I am a volunteer with a cat rescue group. I used to foster but we would end up adopting those cats (foster fail), so we don't do that anymore. I am partial to Siamese cats - we have 4 of those! We are also members of the Missouri Route 66 Association, and we have travel most of the Route. We don't have any children, by choice. My husband restores classic muscle cars, so we like to say that we have cats and cars when people ask us about kids.

I love to travel! My husband doesn't like to be away from home for long periods so he would prefer we travel in the USA. I told him that we need to see other countries while we are still (fairly) young! I collect Christmas ornaments from the places we have been.

My other interests:
I love all things vintage: Vintage clothes, old Hollywood movies and actors (think Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra, Montgomery Clift, Doris Day etc.), music from the 40's to today, midcentury modern, collecting cat figurines, reading mostly historical fiction set during World War II, jigsaw puzzles. I could go on and on. I have recently discovered building DIY Book Nook kits.
